Brighten up your smile
Cosmetic dentistry helps you to make the most of your smile. Feeling self-conscious about your teeth can have an impact on your self-esteem and how you relate to others – laughing and smiling is the key way human beings bond with each other.
If you'd like to give your smile and yourself a boost, our cosmetic options include: white fillings, porcelain veneers, teeth whitening and gum contouring, or combine two or more treatments for a smile makeover.

Teeth whitening is the most popular cosmetic treatment in the UK, and it's easy to see why - it can lighten your teeth in as little as an hour. We offer in-clinic whitening, or you can carry the treatment out yourself at home over two weeks.
White fillings are a more aesthetically-pleasing replacement for metal ones and veneers are thin, porcelain sheaves that cover chips, cracks and small gaps. Gum contouring uses a laser to shave off excess gum tissue, lengthening your teeth.
Straighter teeth,
healthier teeth
Having braces fitted is often put down as cosmetic work; there's no doubt that straighter teeth look more appealing, but they are also healthier. They are easier to clean and closing up gaps means that there's less of a breeding ground for the bacteria that cause tooth decay.

We offer fixed, removable, clear and invisible braces to cover all aspects of teeth straightening. Adult patients may be particularly pleased to know that clear braces are available, meaning that no one needs to know you are having treatment. Removable braces can be taken out for cleaning and eating, making them simple and easy to use. And even fixed metal braces can be more discreet these days: lingual braces fit to the back of the teeth, making them truly invisible.
Regain your lost teeth
We have a variety of methods for restoring lost, chipped or cracked teeth. We fit bridges, crowns, inlays and onlays and dentures.
We also offer dental implants, which bridges, crowns and dentures can be fixed onto, for extra stability and longevity. Dental implants replace natural tooth roots and don't affect your surrounding healthy teeth. A replacement tooth is then fitted on top, and all your lost biting and chewing function is restored. They are long-lasting and secure – no need to take out your teeth for cleaning and no more avoiding chewy and crunchy foods!
If you feel nervous or anxious about dental implant surgery, we can offer you conscious sedation. This is taken either as a tablet or through an injection. Sedation isn't an alternative to anaesthetic – rather it acts on the central nervous system to produce feelings of calm. You will be awake during surgery but may not remember it and you will feel drowsy for a few hours afterwards.
Hygienist in Richmond
Something for the whole family
We work with teeth of all ages: children learning to care for milk teeth, teenagers wearing braces to adjust their growing jaw, pregnant women needing extra care due to a higher risk of gum disease in pregnancy and older patients on the verge of losing one or all of their teeth.
We also run specialist clinics and services that take care of your oral health as a whole, not just your teeth. These include: screening for mouth cancer, looking for the signs of jaw disorders and teeth grinding, providing mouth guards, advice for easing the pain of sensitive teeth, help to stop snoring, a quit smoking clinic and fresh breath and dental hygiene advice.
Plus, all the services you would expect from your general dentist, including extractions, root canal therapy and routine check-ups. We put our focus on prevention and encourage all our patients to keep their maintenance appointments. Only a dentist can spot the early signs of tooth decay and gum disease and address them before the problem escalates, which could prevent expensive and time-consuming dental surgery.
"I am quite new to Sheen Dental having moved to the area recently. My family and I have received a really warm welcome. Going to the dentist is not something I look forward to so I am delighted to say all the treatment I have received has been carried out in the most professional and caring manner. "
