Many people do not realise the range of treatments that we have to offer at Sheen Dental. For most people, a visit to their dentist Richmond consists of a check-up and the odd filling, but the potential of changing your smile into one that you love passionately is not as far fetched as you might think. People who suffer from crooked teeth or have gaps in their smile often believe that there is nothing to be done, especially adults who believe that they have left it too late in their life to have treatment. Here at Sheen Dental we offer Invisalign, a discreet and effective way of straightening your teeth that is suitable for people of all ages. One of the main benefits of this treatment is its subtlety. Using clear, plastic aligners that fit snugly over your own teeth, it will be difficult for other people to spot that you are even wearing an appliance. The aligners should be comfortable to sleep in too and should not impact your speech either.
Take the first step and organise a consultation
If you have decided that it is time for you to get straighter teeth then do not hesitate in booking a consultation appointment with our dentist Richmond. At Sheen Dental we want you to have a smile that you love, so will arrange an appointment as soon as possible at a time that is convenient to you. Booking a consultation can be done through our website, over the phone or from within our practice. At your consultation we will take a 3D scan of your mouth and by using advanced technology we are able to produce a series of images to show how your teeth will move over time, as well as what they will look like in their final, straightened positions. For each stage you will have a set of clear, plastic aligners made that will fit over your own teeth comfortably, slowly moving them into their next position, so they are ready for your next set of aligners.
What will you have to do?
Once your dentist Richmond has issued you with your first few sets of aligners you will need to make sure that you wear them correctly. They are entirely removable so you can eat and brush your teeth with ease, but you need to ensure that you are wearing your aligners for at least twenty-two hours of the day. If you do not wear them for the correct length of time then you risk your treatment not working efficiently or could even need to completely restart it in some cases. Your teeth will move slightly each time you wear a new set of aligners, and each set must be worn for around two weeks each. Around every six weeks you will need to attend a check-up appointment with your dental practitioner and at this appointment they will issue you with your next set of aligners, as well as ensure that your treatment is working correctly.
