The process of getting porcelain veneers

After your dentist has the custom-made veneers ready, the procedure will begin. Your dentist will usually trim off a thin layer of enamel to prepare the tooth first. You and your dentist can decide whether you have numbing gel placed on the teeth before trimming off the enamel.
Once the tooth is ready, your dentist will hold the veneer up to the tooth to make sure it will look how it should, making adjustments if needed. A special dental cement is placed on the area and the veneer is then attached. We will then shine a special light on it to activate the cement, allowing it to harden very quickly.
